Te Puna Whaiora uses a 'whole child approach' in identifying and supporting our most vulnerable children between 5-12 years of age. Our service is child-centred and family focussed. We work with the child and their family to support positive life outcomes.
The children referred are those who may be exsperiencing poor school achievement, high levels of hyperactivity, emotional issues, peer relationship difficulties, chronic health problems and poor social skills. The child and family may also have inadequate ro insufficients protective factors to manage identified challenges, such as parenting skills, poor acccess to services, poor housing or lack of resources.
Referrals can be made by agencies or organisations working with the child and/or family. Children and families are not able to self-refer to our service. You can downloaded our referral form to complete by clicking on the link below.
