KidzaCool Adventures programmes give children the opportunity to play and relax in a fun, safe and sociable environment while foster/kin/wh�nau carers work, relax or catch up with friends and other family. We like to think we offer foster/kin/wh�nau carers peace of mind while offering children, aged 5-12, a piece of the action!!
What is KidzaCool?
KidzaCool is a free service for caregivers. It provides short holiday camps for children who live with foster, kin or whanau carers. The programmes offer children a mix of social, sport and art & craft activities with sessions designed to suit the age and ability of the children. Every child gets a staff member 'buddy' someone who will look after them, encourage them, and help to bring out the best in them!
Who is KidzaCool for?
Carers can register children in their care who are aged 5-12, who have lived with them for more than 12 months, and who are not their biological or adoptive children. Applications for a sibling group can include 13-14 year old siblings should the caregiver want to have to have a full break.
How to Apply
To be eligible to apply, you must have had a child in your care for 12 months or more and you must not be the biological or adoptive parents of the child.
Applications can be submitted at any time prior to the close off dates for the programme. Our next programme is scheduled for 24-29 January 2011 and applications close on 30 October 2010. Confirmation of a placement will be advised by late November. Applicants who can not be placed due to the programme being oversubscribed, will be held on a waiting list for the next available programme.

We will accept direct applications, however if you are being supported by an agency/person please include their details on the form. We can also assist in linking you up with a local support contact should you need further assistance.
